Uwell Caliburn G coils are the part that decides how your vape actually tastes and draws inside a Caliburn pod, and they come four to a pack in three different resistances.
What the coil does
The coil heats the e-liquid and turns it into vapour. Caliburn G and G2 pods ship empty with no coil fitted, so the coil is bought separately and pressed into the base of the pod. When the flavour dulls or turns harsh, you change the coil alone and keep the pod.
Economical four-coil pack
Press-fit installation, no threads and no tools needed
Sealing rings hold the coil firmly in the pod and cut down on leaking
Meshed structure spreads the heat across a wider surface for an even, consistent flavour
Available resistances and how to choose
0.8ohm UN2 Meshed-H at 13 to 18W. The warmest and most vapour-heavy of the three, with a looser draw that leans towards restricted DTL. Best with lower nicotine strengths.
1.0ohm at 10 to 15W. The middle ground: a proper MTL draw with moderate vapour, and it handles freebase and salt nicotine equally well.
1.2ohm UN2 Meshed-H. The tightest MTL draw in the range, running at lower power so it is gentler on e-liquid and battery. The pick for higher-strength salt nicotine and for anyone chasing a cigarette-like inhale.
Device compatibility
Caliburn G, G2, GK2, GZ2, KOKO Prime, Tenet, Explorer and Ironfist L. The coil is shared across all of them, but the pod is not, so make sure you order the pod that matches your device.
When to change it
Swap the coil as soon as the flavour changes or starts to taste burnt, and let a new coil sit in a filled pod for around five minutes before the first puff so the cotton is fully saturated.
